Uber to launch Ola Money rival in India on August 23
 NEW DELHI: It seems that cab service provider Uber is all set to launch its own mobile wallet. The company has sent out invites for a launch event on August 23, where it will reportedly unveil its mobile wallet. However, the company has not yet announced anything but going by the invite we feel it will launch such service. The invite reads, “Uber cordially invites you to be a part of a landmark moment when millions will join the digital payment revolution.”
As per the invite, the company has also partnered with some of the banks, which further confirms that they might launch their own wallet.
Recently, a report also surfaced online that Uber and Amazon are preparing to adopt the unified payment interface (UPI) through integration with the BHIM app, according to the National Payment Corporation of India.

According to a report by The Economic Times, NPCI CEO AP Hota said that, UPI Payments will help the Uber drivers to make payments to Uber using UPI. Uber’s main rival Ola has already integrated UPI in April this year.

Uber recently launched Uber for Business in India. The main aim of the company behind this feature is to give organizations a more efficient way to manage their business travel and improve employees’ experience.
